In the wake of the housing bubble crash of 2008, Bison co-founder Danni, found herself unable to make her mortgage and started getting tons of phone calls and fliers on the door about eviction and auction.
She didn’t know it at the time, but many of these letters were from investors, that possibly could have helped, but they only made her scared and targeted.
Taking the advice from a family friend, she decided to file bankruptcy and foreclose on the house. She struggled for years with credit and it wasn’t until years later, while studying real estate, she learned that she could help people through the same situation she found herself in, without having to go through the process of bankruptcy and foreclosure.
In late 2021, a conversation about the pandemic and state of the world, Jeff and Danni decided to start Bison Real Estate solutions as a way to provide caring and compassionate service, to help families weather life’s storms, without the fear tactics that investors and banks are trying to impose on homeowners. We will work with you to provide education and a fair price for your property to create a win-win solution for all.
The name Bison came from a story a friend told us about cows & bison:
When a storm is coming over the mountains, sows tend to instinctively run away from it, in an effort to escape, they only prolong the amount of time they are in the storm.
On the other hand, buffalo/bisons have a unique way of dealing with storms. Instead of running away from the storm, bisons confront it by running towards it. They face the storm head-on, thus, they are able to get through the storm much faster.
We know that life will continually send us storms, and at Bison we are here to hold your hand and help you face the storm head-on, to get to the other side quickly!
